SUNWAYS TRAVEL’S CARBON FOOTPRINT

We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and helping our customers on their journey towards reducing the environmental impact of their travel.

Sunways Travel is committed to continuous improvement across our business by measuring and reducing our carbon footprint. Our carbon emissions have been independently verified by 5D Net Zero and calculated in accordance with the UK Government’s reporting guidelines and The Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard, and meeting ISO14065 process standard.

Sunways’ Carbon Reduction Plan maintains our emissions to a minimum and offsets all remaining carbon emissions generated through our own business activities. Our carbon offsetting utilises projects that are certified to the highest standards through the Verra – Verified Carbon Standard (VCS), the Gold Standard – Voluntary Emission Reductions (VER), and the United Nations – Certified Emission Reductions (CER) programmes.

We further support our commitment to reducing carbon emissions generated through travel via our Sunways Sustainable Business Travel (SSBT) solution. SSBT provides comprehensive CO2 calculations pre-travel and detailed reporting post-travel to enable our corporate customers to make informed decisions on travelling in the most environmentally-cost-effective way. Using this data, we provide a solution to offset the CO2 emissions through reforestation and United Nations Certified Emission Reduction Carbon Credits via our partners at Trees4Travel.
